Patrick Treacy and the Italian Book

In this radio interview Dr. Patrick Treacy describes the commonality of religions by relating to an Irish story that describes the difficulty the Protestant Lord Mayor of Belfast, Dr. Ian Adamson had in gaining access to a famous holy book in a Catholic Shrine in Italy. Dr. Ian presumed the Italian monastery would welcome him but thts was not the case. Dr. Ian who wanted to give some of the proceeds of the book to sponsor the later famous Ferrari F1 driver Eddie Irvine. During proceedings he even sought the help of the Catholic Cardinal of Ireland to no avail. Many years later Eddie was famous enough that his parents were granted a honorary audience to see the book
